From malang drop and experience a golden sunrise in Penanjakan. Catch a glimpse of the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park from Bromo Mountain before exploring the craters and the black desert on this tour. Finally, trek to the crater’s top of Mount Ijen to witness the blue lava from the volcano.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive at airport and drive to Bromo
- You will be picked up from Surabaya Airport/Malang city according to your arrival time. Hotel pick-up in the city center is also available at no additional charge.
- Head to Kakek Bodo waterfall in Pandaan, which is closer to the Singosari temple.
- Evening drive to Tosari origin village of Bromo.
- Check into a homestay.
Day 2: Witness sunrise at Penanjakan
- Wake up early to get picked up by a jeep at 03.00 am from the guesthouse.
- Head to the sunrise point Penanjakan in a 4×4 jeep.
- Continue to explore Bromo crater, Bromo Pura, and the surrounding black sand desert area.
- Go back to the guesthouse and prepare for breakfast.
- Around 10.00 am, check out and head to the Ijen area via banyuwangi (7 hours drive).
- Check-in to the Licin homestay with a rice field view.
Day 3: Drive to Paltuding for sightseeing
- Wake up at 2 am and check out from the hotel.
- Drive to Paltuding (the starting trek point is 1 hour from the hotel).
- Meet the local guide at Paltuding Point.
- Proceed trekking for 2 hours up to the crater’s top.
- Explore the scene of Blue Fire along with the sunrise with your Indonesian tour guide.
- After sunrise, descend to the start of the trekking point.
- Eat breakfast in Paltuding and get dropped off at Ketapang Harbour. The driver will help to buy a ferry ticket OR drive you back for 7 hours to Surabaya or Malang city.
